If you’re thinking of heading to London for some new season shopping, Harrods will likely already be at the top of your list of must-visit destinations. Don’t wait too long before booking your ticket, though, because the store has just announced its latest summer projects — and trust us, you’ll want to check them out.
First is the launch of a new luxury department, Superbrands, which will house exclusive womenswear and accessories from Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dior and more. The 17 boutiques will each feature their own custom-designed decor, in a grand but contemporary setting of marble walls, columns and floors.
“This magical space has allowed us to expand each of the brands’ product offerings and create ‘world of’ shops within Harrods, allowing our customers an unrivalled luxury experience within their favourite brands,” says Helen David, Harrods fashion director of womenswear, accessories, fine jewellery and childrenswear.
In addition to introducing Superbrands, Harrods will launch its Made with Love campaign in August to celebrate the craftsmanship behind new luxury. Brands are participating with exclusive products made just for the campaign — limited editions of the Chloé Drew bag, a heart-shaped Stella McCartney Falabella bag and a Loewe tangerine clutch are but a few items that will be showcased. Fendi will also take part in a pop-up boutique, located on the ground floor window displays, where exclusive colourways of the Fendi 2Jours and By The Way bags will be available. Meanwhile, brands like Louis Vuitton, Anya Hindmarch, Mulberry, Monica Vinader and Edie Parker will also offer customisation and monogramming services throughout the month.
