More than 97 raids in the first nine months of this year have resulted in the confiscation of Dh34.2 million worth of counterfeit car parts.
During the third quarter of this year alone, a total of 53 raids were conducted, resulting in more than Dh13.5 million of seized stock, accounting for more than 184,000 counterfeit products.
The raids are executed by Al-Futtaim Motors in partnership with several law enforcement agencies and the UAE Department of Economic Development.
Al-Futtaim Motors has trained about 140 government officials to distinguish between genuine and counterfeit parts and packaging.
