New York-based twin brothers Dee & Ricky Jackson have collaborated with Puma for spring/summer 2016 to produce vibrant footwear inspired by the classic Puma basket shoe. Ever since its release in the early 1960s, the basket model has been the shoe of choice for many basketball players for their warm-ups on the court, but over the years, its purpose has evolved — it's no longer solely a sport shoe, and has cemented its style status among the international hip-hop scene.

Having collaborated with Casio G-Shock and Marc Jacobs in the past, Dee & Ricky Jackson are known for their quirky and colourful sportswear and street fashion, often inspired by Lego. Their collection for Puma gives a playful update to the basket shoe, available in glossy patent leather or Velcro texture finishes. Expect to see multicolour “Puma” lettering, coupled with rainbow swirls and unexpected colourways, like sunshine yellow and emerald green. In addition to trainers, the collaboration also features some clothing designs, including a nylon bomber jacket with “We will win” embroidered on the back.

The Dee & Ricky Jackson collection for Puma is available online at www.namshi.com and www.amongstfew.com.
