Two policemen shot during a drugs sting operation have been flown to Germany for treatment on the instructions of President Sheikh Khalifa.
Police said that the pair, who were shot after they tried to arrest two drug dealers in Bani Yas, had expressed their gratitude for the generous gesture and had become more determined to serve their country. They were flown out late on Wednesday.
