1.3 million pilgrims arrive in Saudi Arabia for Haj

More than 1.3 million pilgrims have arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to the Saudi Press Agency, quoting the Directorate General of Passports.

The number of pilgrims for Haj who reached Saudi Arabia by air totalled 1,302,016; the figure by land comprised 58,364 pilgrims and by sea 13,982 pilgrims.

Meanwhile, 4,000 of UAE’s total quota for this Haj have already arrived, according to Mohammad Obaid Al Mazrouie, head of the Haj Affairs Office. More pilgrims were expected to arrive in the next few days, according to state news agency Wam.
